It was a ‘wet market’ in those days, and high adventure. Had to get there early to get the best fish, and crabs, pincers bound with rattan. Fortunately i made friends with some of the local women, who took me under their ‘wing’ – i learnt a lot about SE Asian cooking…. got the taste for hot food 🙂
